The Ministry of Jesus

Like Jesus, our assignment is through the empowerment of the Spirit, to teach and to do the works of the Lord that Jesus might be made known and His name would be glorified in the earth.

Increase Our Faith

In our text, the apostles wanted more faith, Jesus' answer turns them from the thought of a lass and a more in faith to faith's genuineness.  If there is real faith, then action follows.  We simply need to act on the Word of God and allow our faith to be demonstrated by our obedience to it.

The Priests and Sacrifices

As His priests, we act as ambassadors, chosen vehicles through whom God has chosen to serve and represent Him, on His behalf.  In order to faithfully do that, we must maintain and foster our love and reverence for God.

Then The Cloud And The Glory

God's purpose is still to dwell in the midst of His people.  As we live in conformity to His Word, we can and should expect to see the Presence of God, the Glory of God manifest in us and through us as did Moses and the Israelites.

From A Slave To A Kingdom Mentality

Worship, true worship changes you.  As you see Him, you become like Him.  You no longer think like a slave, but as a child of a King.  Resources no longer are a liability that enslaves you, but a tool to be used to advance His will in the earth.

Presents vs Presence

It's God's Presence that makes these things of any value at all.  The promises of God without the Presence of God or as I titled the message, the Presents of God without the Presence of God is truly of little worth.  It's His Presence that gives life meaning and worth.

A Time of Testing

God is a good God who designed us to succeed and overcome.  Eventually, we will pass as long as we don't drop out of the class, out of the race, out of our walk with God.

What Do You See?

Many people see Jesus as the Messiah of Israel who came to save the lives of people from their true taskmaster, the enemy of their souls and free them from bondage to sin, sickness, and death, preserving them for life everlasting as He reconciles them to God.  How you see Jesus, and how you , in turn, act towards Him also determines what you receive!

Show and Tell

What we learn from this text is that we cannot and must not stop from talking about the signs, wonders, and miracles that God has done in us and for us.  These are the testimonies to His Works that bring glory to God and proclaim the Good News that brings others to trust in the Awesome, Miracle-Working God who we serve.

Silencing the Storms of Life

Just as a policeman has the authority to subdue a situation, just as a judge has the authority to silence an unruly courtroom, Jesus also has the authority to subdue and silence the chaos the enemy throws our way.  Jesus silenced a natural storm, a demonic storm, a storm of affliction, and a storm of death, and He can silence whatever storm you are facing in this life.
