The Work of the Holy Spirit Part 2

The ability to make one's lifestyle more Christlike is given through the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is a lifelong process, daily appropriated through surrender of life to God.  

The Power of the Lord is Present to Heal

In Christ, the power of God was Present to forgive, save, heal, deliver those who were in His presence.  What we see is that the ones who received were the ones who recognized, believed, and pressed in to receive what was present with Him, upon Him, for them to partake of by faith.   

The Work Of The Holy Spirit Part 1

The work of the Holy Spirit is to manifest the active presence of God in the world, and especially in the church.  Today we looked specifically at one aspect of the work of the Holy Spirit, which is that He, God Himself Indwells His People.

He Arose And Followed Him

Following Jesus is a call to leave the familiarity and security the world provides, to follow the Lord into whatever situation and place He leads us to.  The call is not of our own making, but is a response to hearing His voice to leave all and follow after Him. 

The Glory Of The Lord Is Risen Upon You

Because of the work Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary, we have the privilege of experiencing the fruit of His work.  We can receive salvation through the Holy Spirit who takes up residence in us, and we can receive the empowerment of God through the Holy Spirit upon us.  

As a result, as God’s people arise and shine, and the Spirit of God is allowed to work within His people, and through His people, people will experience the power of the gospel to save, heal, and set free.

Faith Moves Us To Where He Is

if you hear the sound of His voice, and if you will call out to Him, He has already made a way for you to come and if you will believe in Him and keep your eyes on Him, you too will find yourselves walking through the difficulties that assail you and find yourself next to Him as He grabs you and brings you close to Him in order to walk through this life together. 

The Whole Multitude Was Healed

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and God is no respecter of persons, is that if we will come to Him with faith to receive, we too can experience healing for our sicknesses and diseases, and freedom from the unclean spirits that seek to torment us.

The Burning

I believe that today, as we hear what God did in these Ephesian believers, God will continue His work in us by doing the same. Today, the Holy Spirit is revealing the things that we need to rid ourselves of us as He is seeking to take us individually, and corporately into a greater realm of revelation, power, and growth.

Circumcising Timothy

What was of the most profound importance to Paul was winning others for Christ.  He wasn’t about defending his freedoms, but about freeing others.  If having an inroad to others coming to know Christ required that he curb his freedoms, then that’s what he would do.

Waiting For The Now

All ministry, all work that we do for God is at its core - serving.  We serve God by serving the people around us.  If we have a call and a vision to do something greater for God in the future, we have to be faithful serving in the present.
