Thankfully, God was bigger than their attitudes, and bigger than the bitter waters they were facing. We saw in our text that Moses, instead of complaining, called out to God. God revealed to Him the answer to the dilemma they faced, and when Moses obeyed God’s Word, that supernatural life-giving power of God was released to turn the bitter water, sweet. It’s not simply knowing the Word, it’s obedience to it that releases God’s promises and power into our life.

Why was Jesus able to sleep in the middle of the storm? The same reason Paul was able to eat in the middle of the storm. He had his eyes on the Word that had been spoken. He gave the Word: Let’s go to the other side. The Word had been given, and the Word would be so. He believed the Word, not the circumstances and lived in accordance with it.

I believe that like Paul, God wants to use us to raise up the next generation who are spiritually dead to the things of God’s. When we do, not only will their lives be impacted, but also the whole church will be comforted.
The question to ask is this: Is there anyone willing to leave their comfort zones to go out to them, to embrace them, to prophesy to them, and be used by God to raise them up into a newness of life? They, like Eutychus, would be most fortunate if we, like Saul, were willing to do just that.

The leadership of the Holy Spirit and the timing of God, that’s really what this whole study is about. There is a timing to the things of God. What may not have been the will of God in one season did not and does not mean that it would not be the will of God in the next.

Even though this was God’s will, the will of God would not have become evident. In the same way, we should take away from this passage that God’s power is available to touch people’s lives, but it requires our participation to bring His will for people into manifestation

It's not need that moves God, but it's faith in him and His Word. Like the Israelites, if you humble yourselves, recognize your inabilities, and call on Him - if you will put your faith in Him - He will intervene on your behalf as well

In order to embrace this moving of the Spirit of God, we can’t hold on to the rigid mindsets and traditional ways of thinking. We must be moldable and stretchable to embrace the new wine He is pouring out. We are not talking about changing the essence of who we are, but changing the manifestation of who we are to keep up with what God is going to do.
