Nehemiah And His Fight For Right

There is an enemy who seeks to stop what God is doing amid his people. We have seen his tactics, but what we learned from Nehemiah today is that despite these attacks, if we keep our eyes on God and continue forward in the work, we too will finish the work and overcome.

The Call Of God

He is still calling people to follow Him into discipleship, and He is still calling people to serve in ministry. Do you hear His call? Follow Him, and He will begin the process of making you too into a suitable vessel.

He Healed Them All

All those who followed after Jesus were taken care of by Jesus and received from Him that which He carried. He carried healing and wholeness for those who came to Him in faith and they all received without failure.The incredible ministry that Jesus was involved in as He walked this planet was and is the model for the ministry that His disciples, the Church, His body was and is to continue doing.

The Call Of Elisha

As he was sent to find and anoint the next generation of leaders, so too must we anoint, train and release the next generation of those who are called of God to serve Him by serving His people.

Destroying The Works Of The Devil

Jesus defeated the devil once and for all at the cross of calvary through his death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. Hallelujah!

 We also noted that the devil is still roaming around the planet. I hope that we have grasped that as His Church, we are called to do the works that Jesus did. We too are to destroy the works of the devil.

Elijah Runs To The Mountain Of God

Today we noted some parallels between Elijah and Moses. We saw Scripture seems to purposely draw a comparison between them and in doing so, hopefully we learned something from them. What about you today. Do you see yourself somewhere in these accounts of these men of God? Perhaps you too find yourself disappointed or in a letdown. Like these men, that requires a reacquaintance with God’s Presence and recommissioning to the work that God has called you to

Building The Wall By Building The People

Nehemiah understood this principle when he began to pray before the Lord on behalf of the people. Restore the people and the people restore the world around them. It’s important that we learn this principle as well. How often do we as a modern church get things out of order. We think that getting a lot of people, a lot of finances, a lot of building makes for a great church. Yet, that is not how God sees things.

A Change of Seasons

I believe the Lord is reminding us that His will for our lives is abundance. As a church, we are entering into a season of abundance. I know what the world looks like and what the economy looks like, but was it any different than what it looked like in Elijah’s day. What matters is not what we see, but what God says.

I believe He is saying, “it’s a change of seasons and in this season, we are going to see an abundance of rain.” Let’s believe God and partner with the will of God in praying through until we see He says begin to reveal itself in our midst.

Guard Your Heart

Jn 7:38 (NKJV) He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

God’s kingdom is not a territory, but His act of ruling in and through human hearts. In the Gospels, Jesus speaks about “entering the kingdom”. This means entering the community of those who acknowledge and live as God is King. In doing so, our hearts become the place where heaven flows into and then through to bring His life to the earthly spheres we traffic.

The One Who Answers Is God

The God who answers miraculously on behalf of the cries of His people proved beyond any shadow of doubt that He was indeed the one true God. In the same way, at the behest and leading of God, we have been given the command to show the love and power of God on behalf of people.By faith, we can believe the Word of the Lord to us and go forth and prove the goodness and the veracity of God by proclaiming and praying for people. As we do, I believe God will answer and the people will again cry out, “The Lord He Is God.”
