“What we see here is that an excellent wife is not idle, is not one who doesn’t take responsibility for the good of her household, but is in fact one that works hard to take care of her household, take care of those who are poor, and in so doing, bring glory to her husband. In our case, that would be our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We see this quality in Rebekah. It’s a quality that caused her to stand out in the search for a bride for Isaac. It is, I believe a quality that the Holy Spirit wants to bring forth in us today.”
